01Delete it in the app
- Open Allyo and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
- Choose why you're leaving. (We'll show a tip in case something can be fixed — you can still continue.)
- Review what gets deleted and tick the box to confirm you understand it can't be recovered.
- Tap Delete my account, then Yes, delete.
- Verify it's you with your 6-digit PIN or a code we email you, then tap Delete. You're signed out straight away on every device.
02Can't access the app?
Email to be announced from the email address registered to your Allyo account with the subject "Delete my account". To protect you, we only act on requests from the registered address, and we may ask you to confirm with a one-time code sent to that email. We'll confirm by email once it's done.
03What happens immediately
When your account is deleted:
- Your account is closed and can no longer sign in.
- Every signed-in device is signed out, and all your device records and push-notification tokens are deleted.
- Your username and mobile number are removed.
- Your public profile disappears — it can no longer be found or opened.
- All your Offerings are removed from search and discovery.
- Any pending booking requests you sent or received are closed as declined, with a note that the Member has left Allyo.
- Your chats are closed: nobody can send you new messages, and you no longer appear by username in anyone's chat list.
- Everyone you blocked, or who blocked you, is cleared.
- The copy of your chats on your phone is removed when you're signed out. Favourites, saved Members and recent searches stay only on that phone until you uninstall the app.
04What is retained, and why
Some records are kept after deletion:
- Your email address, so the account can't be taken over or re-created by someone else with it, and so we can help if you contact us about the deleted account.
- Account and profile details that aren't listed above (such as full name, date of birth, gender, education, profession, description and photos), past requests and your Credit history, to keep other Members' records accurate, investigate reports, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. They're no longer visible to anyone on Allyo.
- Chat messages you sent, which stay in the other Member's conversation (shown without your username) so their own history stays complete. You can delete any message for everyone within 48 hours of sending it, before you delete your account — or ask us at support@allyoapp.com to erase your messages.
- Security records such as sign-in sessions until they expire.
Retained records are kept only as long as those purposes need, or longer only where the law requires. Copies in backups are overwritten on their normal cycle. To ask for these records to be erased sooner, email support@allyoapp.com.
05Before you delete
- Accepted arrangements with other Members aren't cancelled automatically — let them know.
- Using the same email again later: contact to be announced, as a deleted account's email stays reserved.
See the Privacy policy for more about how we handle data.
