01Getting started
What is Allyo?
Allyo is a people-to-people marketplace. Members offer everyday help, skills, activities and experiences, and other Members nearby discover and request them — with privacy built in.
Is Allyo free?
Yes. Creating an account, browsing, sending and accepting requests and chatting are free. Your first 2 Offerings are free too. Some extra features — more Offerings, boosts, a sponsored listing and the Trusted badge — use Credits, which you earn by visiting Allyo.
Do I need an account to look around?
No. You can browse Home, search and open Offerings and profiles as a guest. You need an account to create an Offering, send a booking request, chat, save favourites and use Credits.
Who can join?
Allyo is only for people aged 18 or over. You confirm your age when you sign up.
How do I sign up?
Enter your email and the 6-digit code we send you, then add your name and mobile number, create a 6-digit PIN and accept the Terms. You can also continue with Google and confirm the Terms and your age.
I forgot my PIN. What can I do?
On the sign-in screen, choose to get a one-time code by email instead of using your PIN. If you still can't get in, email to be announced from your registered address and we'll help.
02Profiles and privacy
What do other Members see about me?
Your username, your age in years, your profile and cover photos, description, profession and education (if you add them), your Trusted badge and your approved Offerings. Your full name, email address, exact date of birth and mobile number are never shown on your profile.
Can I change my email address?
No. Your email identifies your account and can't be changed after sign-up. You can change your username, name, photos and other profile details at any time.
What are favourites and saved members?
Tap the heart on an Offering to save it as a favourite, or save a Member from their profile. Both are kept only on your phone and are private to you.
03Offerings
How do I create an Offering?
Tap Create in the bottom bar, choose one category, then add a title, description, your experience, how you charge, a starting price, the days you're available, the area you serve, keywords and a cover photo. Accept the Terms and the User guidelines and send it for review.
Why isn't my Offering visible yet?
Every new Offering must be approved by the Allyo admin team before it appears in the app. Until then it shows as *Pending* in Settings → My Offerings and other Members can't see it. You'll get a notification as soon as it's approved and live. If it's rejected, you'll see the admin's note explaining why, can change it and send it again.
I edited my live Offering and it disappeared. Why?
Changes to a live Offering are approved again before they're shown. After you save an edit, the Offering goes back to *Pending* and is hidden from other Members until the admin team approves it again.
Is creating an Offering free?
Your first 2 Offerings are free. Each additional Offering uses 10 Credits, charged once when you first send it for review.
04Requests and chat
How does booking work?
Open an Offering, tap Request to book and confirm. The owner is notified and can accept or decline. You'll see the answer in Requests and get a notification.
When can I chat with someone?
As soon as a booking request between you is accepted — whichever of you made it. Tap Chat on the accepted request, on the Offering, or open Settings → Chats. Chat is not available with someone you have blocked, or who has blocked you.
Can I delete a message?
Yes. Long-press a message: "Delete for me" removes it from your chat; "Delete for everyone" (your own messages, within 48 hours) removes its text for both of you and shows "This message is deleted by sender".
Does Allyo handle payments?
No. Allyo doesn't process payments or hold money. Prices on Offerings are a starting point; anything you agree with another Member is between the two of you. Never share card, bank or UPI details, codes or your PIN with anyone.
Can I book my own Offering?
No — requests to your own Offerings are blocked.
05Safety
How do I block someone?
Open their profile, tap the menu (⋮) and choose Block. They can no longer send you requests, chat with you or open your profile, and pending requests between you are closed. Unblock any time in Settings → Blocked members.
How do I report a Member, Offering or message?
Email to be announced with the Member's username, the Offering title or a screenshot of the message, and what happened. Our team reviews every report and acts on it — see the User guidelines. If anyone is in immediate danger, call local emergency services first.
Is it safe to meet someone from Allyo?
Most meetings go smoothly, but always use good judgement: meet in a public place first, tell a friend where you're going, and leave if you feel uncomfortable. See the safety tips in Support.
06Credits
What are Credits?
An in-app currency for extra Offerings, boosts, sponsored listings and the Trusted badge. Credits are not money: they can't be withdrawn, transferred to another Member or exchanged for cash.
How do I get Credits?
You earn 1 Credit each day you visit Allyo. Buying Credit packs isn't available yet.
07Location and notifications
Why does Allyo ask for my location?
To find Offerings near you and sort them by distance. It's only used while the app is open, it's optional, and you can pick an area by name instead.
What notifications will I get?
New booking requests, accepted or declined requests, Offering review results and new chat messages. If you turn notifications off, everything still works — check Requests and Chats instead.
08Your account
Where can I see which phones are signed in?
Settings → Login devices lists every device signed in to your account, when it was last active, and marks the one you're using.
How do I delete my account?
In the app go to Settings → Delete account, choose a reason, tick the confirmation, confirm, then verify with your PIN or an email code. See Delete account for exactly what is removed and what is kept. You can also ask us by email.
